Caloy was founded in 1998 as an almond and walnut oil manufacturing firm, and by 2000 Caloy had become one of the foremost processors of almond and walnut oil in the state of California. In 2005 Caloy entered into a strategic partnership with Gustav Heess GmbH and became Caloy Company LLC. Gustav Heess, a German based corporation, was founded in 1897 and is a market leader in the production and supply of specialty vegetable oils in Europe. Caloy's objective has always been to produce the highest quality pure almond and walnut oil in the market. In conjunction with Gustav Heess, Caloy is now also able to produce and supply its customers with a wide array of vegetable fats and oils for use in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
